Woman goes on the rampage in Mississauga mall

MISSISSAUGA: A 42-year-old woman from Kitchener assaulted many people in a Mississauga mall on August 24.

Police were called to the shopping centre located near Hurontario Street and Burnhamthorpe Road West at 5.15 pm when the woman was reported assaulting several people.

Police and mall security took her into custody.

Peel Police said its investigators have reviewed video surveillance of this event and witnessed several people who were assaulted by this woman, including an elderly woman and a young child. Investigators have not been able to identify these victims, nor have they come forward as of yet to report their injuries.

The woman has been charged with seven counts of assault, assaulting police pfficer and mschief over $5000.

She will be appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice on Wednesday.

Investigators are appealing to community members to come forward with any information or if anyone believes they were assaulted during this incident inside the mall, on this date, to please contact Cst. Hammond at 905-453-2121, extension 1100.
