NEW DELHI: A video showing two women beating up a Congress leader for eve-teasing in Jalaun town of Uttar Pradesh has gone viral.
In the video, Jalaun District Congress President Anuj Mishra is seen being mercilessly beaten up even as he pleads with the women to spare him. They tear his clothes and drag him to the main road of the town to publicly humiliate him.
One of the women is said to be the secreatry of the Jalaun District Congress whom Mishra had removed her post for inaction. But the woman alleged that Mishra used to molest her. She said seh had complained against Mishra to the UP State Congress president, but no action was taken against. So she, along with another woman, took her revenge by calling Mishra out and beating him up publicly.
Mishra was spared only after he apologised to the woman by touching her feet.
