Early morning gunshots ring out in Brampton

BRAMPTON: Fireshots rang out early Monday morning in Brampton as four persons – three men and one woman – were injured.

Peel Police say the victims were shot at and injured just before 6 am in a residential area of Brampton.

Cops were called to the area of Julian Drive and Fitzpatrick Drive, south of Castlemore Road, after shots were fired just before 6 am.

Four persons were found injured with gunshot wounds when the police reached the scene while one person went to hospital.

Gunshots were outside a residence. According to Peel Police, cops were called to the residence late Sunday night for a noise complaint from a large gathering of people.

Many shell casings were recovered from the spot.

Paramedics rushed a male and a female victims to trauma centres in Toronto while the other two male victims were taken to Brampton hospitals.

Police say all injuries are non-life-threatening.

The cause of firing is not known yet.
