Indo-Canadian Punjabi man arrested for Brampton double shooting

BRAMPTON: Peel Police have arrested a Brampton Indo-Canadian Punjabi man for Thursday night’s shooting in the city which left two persons with life-threatening injuries.

Gurpreet Wraich, 41, of Brampton was arrested in the area of Ray Lawson Blvd and Hurontario Street just after 2 am. The shooting incident happened in the area of Clementine Drive and Pergola Way in Brampton just before 8.30 pm on April 12.

The accused has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault and numerous firearms related charges.

He is known to both the victims. One of the victim is a 73-year-old man and other is a 42-year-old woman.
