Nasbi Dhugga, an 81-year-old Indo-Canadian Sikh man, was killed on Monday in Brampton after a Mercedes SUV hit him the near Mayfield Road and McVean Drive.
The accident happened just before 7 pm near Centreville Creek Road.
The victim was pronounced dead on the scene by Peel paramedics.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said the victim was hit by the SUV when he was crossing the highway.
