TORONTO: After a long speculation, former Miss Sri Lanka-turned-Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has finally been cast in Hollywood suspense thriller Definition Of Fear which will be shot in Canada.
After not such a terrific star to her Bollywood career, Jacqueline has four Bollywood hits – Murder 2 (2011), Housefull 2 (2012), Race 2 (2013) and Kick (2014) – under her belt.
Her name has been touted for a lead role in Definition of Fear to be directed by documentary filmmaker James Simpson.
The sexy 29-year-old Sri Lankan will be in Canada for a month-long shoot of the film.
Thus, the former Miss Sri Lanka has become one of the few Bollywood actresses – like Aishwarya and Bipasha Basu – to work in a Hollywood film.
Jacqueline made her Bollywood debut in 2009 with the film Aladin which also had super star Amitabh Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh. But the film didn’t do well at the box-office. She also did Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai opposite Riteish. But this film also flopped.
But Murder 2, in which was cast opposite serial kisser Emraan Hashmi, changed Jacqueline’s luck.
