MUMBAI: Sunny Leone, the first adult industry star to enter Bollywood with Pooja Bhatt’s Jism 2 this year, seems to have decided to make a career for herself in the Hindi film world.
After living in Mumbai hotels for months, Canadian-born Sunny Leone – born to Punjabi parents at Sarnia in Ontario – has now bought a three-bedroom penthouse in Andheri.
Sunny and her husband Daniel Weber have been trying to rent an apartment in various upscale societies for some time, but people refused to entertain the adult star, forcing the couple to stay in hotels.
Sunny finally clinched the deal on the penthouse and the couple moved in last week.
“It is a three-bedroom flat, we are on the top floor with a 1,500 square foot terrace, which overlooks the ocean. We’ve moved and my husband carried me in to the house. We had our first meal in our new home. I am very excited,’’ says Sunny.
Sunny has said that her family moved to California from Sarnia, Canada, when she was very young. She says her parents are now dead and she has a brother who lives in California.
While previously it was reported that she was born Karen Malhotra, now her surname seems to have changed to Vohra.
