NEW DELHI: Sridevi, who made a comeback in Bollywood with Gauri Shinde’s English Vinglish last year, says she has two unfulfilled wishes.
Outlining these two wishes while speaking at the India Today Women Summit here, Sridevi said though she has worked with many top directors her wish to work with Shekhar Kapoor remains unfulfilled.
The Kapoor bahu said, “I am lucky to have worked with many filmmakers but the one director whom I miss working with is Shekhar Kapoor. He is a brilliant director and takes out the best from nothing.’’
And Sridevi’s second unfulfilled wish?
She wishes only if she could be another Meryl Streep.
“I am a big fan of Meryl Streep. I have never planned my career. I chose those films with which I could relate myself. But if given a chance, I would love to do the kind of roles Meryl Streep has done,’’ the 49-year-old actress said.
Sridevi, who quit films after her marriage to Bonny Kapoor and returned to acting in 2012 after 15 years, said she has been enjoying her family life all these years.
“Being a mother is the most beautiful thing that happened to me. I am enjoying every bit of it. My husband is very supportive. I lead a very normal life. I even go to fish market to get fish for my daughters,’’ said the mother of two – Jhanvi and Khushi.
