NEW YORK: As per leaked specs, Sony’s new flagship smartphone Xperia Z2 will feature a much superior 20.7 megapixel rear camera and a 2.1 megapixel front camera.
The water-proof and dust-proof Xperia Z2 is likely to be released at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
Leaked screenshots from the Xperia Z2’s camera app show that the new smartphone is a major improvement over its predecessor Z1 in photographic features.
Though it has the same 20.7 megapixel rear camera, software improvement in the new smartphone has dramatically raised the quality of pictures.
In the video mode, the Xperia Z2 will shoot full 1080p HD videos at 60fps – as against the recording mode of 30fps of the Z1.
A new mode in the Xperia Z2 will allow users to shoot 15.5 megapixel stills.
As per rumors, the Z2 will have a 5.25-inch 2K 2560 x 1440p display. Powered by Android 4.4 Kitkat, the Z2 will run on a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and offer 3GB RAM.
It will also feature a new Xenon flash, not the LED flash in the Z1.
