MUMBAI: The majestic Mannat bungalow may be his current address, but Shahrukh Khan has a lot of emotional attachment with his old three-room Bandra apartment where he lived when he was not a super star.
Shahrukh doesn’t want to sell it as he considers it to be lucky for him. After all, it was his first house in Mumbai and he had bought it after his first hit film Deewana.
However, the super star has reportedly decided to give this unfurnished apartment on Carter Road on rent for Rs 3 lakh a month, as against the going rate of about Rs 2 lakh in the area. The new tenant will reportedly also have to pay down a deposit of Rs 15 lakh.
“The rent cheque would be issued in Shah Rukh’s name and there are many who are simply excited about living in a house which is owned by the star and used to be his home for a few years,” Mumbai Mirror quotes a property broker as saying.
