NEW YORK: A Miss Universe hopeful has filed a lawsuit against the Miss Universe Organization (MUO), alleging that a recruiter of the pageant tried to dupe her into sex.
In her lawsuit on Wednesday (Nov 27), Ashleigh Blake from Tracy in California has alleged that Miss California USA recruiter Domingo Rodriguez promised her modelling contracts and magazine covers in exchange for `sexul favours’.
Seeking at least $200,000 in damages, 21-year-old Blake says the recruiter lured her to the parking lot of a Starbucks in Tracy with the promises of modeling contract and magazine covers. When she sat with him in his car, he first told her the `oral’ terms of the contract and then asked for sexual favours to fast-track her to the top of the modeling world.
An aspiring model, Blake says she was shocked and ran away. When she approached the cops to register a criminal case against the recruiter, she says they refused saying that she had not performed any oral sex on the man.
That’s why, she says, she is suing the Miss Universe Organization for hiring “scam artists’’ who prey upon pageant participants with false promises of modeling contracts and magazine covers, according to TMZ.
Blake says she was contacted by the recruiter in November 2012 out of the blue.
The Miss Universe Organization is co-owned by real estate mogul Donald Trump.
