NORTH POLE (Canada): Santa Claus and his family are Canadian residents as they live in North Pole!
So on Friday, Santa and his wife came down to Vaughan on the outskirts of Toronto where Canadian Citizenship and Immigration Minister Chris Alexander presented them the newly introduced ePassports – numbered 2,999,999th and 3,000,000th – at a special ceremony.
Since Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, like so many Canadian citizens enjoy extensive travel around the world, the couple were thrilled to receive their ePassports.
As these ePassports are among the world’s most accepted and secure travel documents, Santa, with his ePassport in hand, is ready to delivery Christmas around the world without a hitch. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus said they are planning a well-earned vacation after the busy season. Santa Claus said he will keep his ePassport protected by storing it in a compartment in his belt, keeping it safe from ashes, soot and snow.
Santa noted with pleasure that the new Canada Europe Trade Agreement will allow him to take toys produced in the North Pole to the European Union tariff-free.
Santa Claus gave thumbs up to Minister Alexander, putting him on the “nice” list this year.
