MUMBAI: Actor Sanjay Dutt, who is undergoing his 42-month jail term in Pune’s Yerwada Jail since June in connection with the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts, got another parole of 30 days on Saturday on the grounds of his wife Manyata’s illness.
The parole was granted by Pune Divisional commissioner Prabhakar Deshmukh on December 6.
“He has been granted one-month parole on the recommendation made by the prison officials. The date of his release on parole will be decided by them after completing the formalities,” the Pune Divisional Commissioner had said on December 6.
Sanjay got the parole after submitting a surety and personal bond of Rs 5,000.
The actor left the jail at about 10.15 am after completing formalities, according to Yerwada Jail superintendent Yogesh Desai.
