MUMBAI: Salman Khan is the big boss of the Bigg Boss season.
The actor, who charged Rs 2.5 crore per episode to host the reality show Bigg Boss 6 last year, will now charge twice that amount for hosing each episode of Bigg Boss 7.
He will appear in all 26 episodes.
In all, Salman Khan will be paid Rs 130 crore, making him the highest paid actor in television.
Interestingly, the 47-year-old actor will be seen in a double role as per the show’s concept of heaven and hell. He will play the roles of both angel and devil.
As his trial for his the 2002 hit-and-run case – in which one person was killed in Mumbai – draws to a close, Salman Khan will reportedly shoot two episodes of the show.
The reality television show is produced by Colors. With the host charging double the amount this year, Colors is set to hike ad rates for this prime-time hit show with top rankings.
