LONDON: The new prince born into the British Royal family on Tuesday has been named Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge.
Or Prince George, in short.
In a statement, Kensington Palace said, “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their son George Alexander Louis. The baby will be known as His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge.”
The new-born baby of Prince William and Kate, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, is the third in line to the throne.
The Queen, the great grandmother of the new royal baby, and Prince Harry, his uncle, also met him for the first time on Wednesday. The Queen was with her great grandson and his parents for about half and hour. The naughty Prince Harry was reportedly excited about becoming an uncle.
Just before the baby boy was born, the Queen had told a little schoolgirl that she doesn’t care whether it is a boy or girl. “I would very much like it to arrive.”
