LONDON: Having had his maternal uncle and former mentor Jang Song-Thaek allegedly eaten alive by hungry dogs in December, North Korea’s mad dictator Kim Jong-Un has now got the whole family of the victim put to death.
Reports from South Korea in the British media say that North Korean ruler Kim Jong-Un, 30, has now executed Jang Song-Thaek’s entire family – children, brothers and grandchildren.
The dictator had Jang Song-Thaek, who was his mother’s brother, to be eaten alive by hungry dogs on December 12 after accusing him of plotting a coup, corruption, womanizing, and ‘dreaming different dreams’ to the regime.
Reports here quoted South Korean Yonhap News Agency as saying that the entire family of the victim has been wiped out by the dictator to wipe out its trace.
“All relatives of Jang have been put to death, including even children,’’ the news agency quoted a source as saying.
“Some relatives were shot to death by pistol in front of other people if they resisted while being dragged out of their apartment homes.’’
Among those allegedly killed are Jang’s sister Jang Kye-Sun, her husband Jon Yong-Jin and Jang’s nephew Jang Yong-Chol and his two sons.
Even the children and grandchildren of Jang’s two brothers were not spared and put to death.
“The executions of Jang’s relatives mean that no traces of him should be left. The purge of the Jang Song-thaek people is under way on an extensive scale from relatives and low-level officials,’’ the South Korean news agency quoted its source as saying.
The mad man became North Korea’s ruler after the death of his father Kim Jong-Il in 2011. The autocratic Kim family has ruled North Korea ruthlessly for the past 60 years, isolating the country from the outside world.
