NEW YORK: `Rolling Stones’ frontman Mick Jagger has flatly denied that he ever made a pass at Katy Perry.
The rebuttal comes after Katy Perry, who is in Australia to promote her new album Prism, told a radio show that the Rolling Stones legend had made a pass at her when she was working as a back-up singer on one of Jagger’s songs.
The 29-year-old singer told Noavfm, “I actually went to dinner with him one time, and he hit on me one time when I was like 18 (or 19).’’
Katy said it happened in 2004 when she sang background vocals for Jagger’s single `Old Habbits Die Hard.’
But then she quickly added, “But that was a long time ago, and since then he’s been very kind – I got to sing ‘Beast of Burden’ on stage with the Rolling Stones.’’
But Jagger, who is 41 years senior to Katy Perry, has said that nothing of that sort ever happened.
“Perhaps she is confusing him with someone else,” a representative for Mick Jagger was quoted as saying by the New York Daily News.
