Billionaire Trump currently travels in his own Boeing 757 jet which he calls T-Bird. During his election campaign, he named it Trump Force One.
Trump’s private plane called Trump Force One.
He bought this plane in 2011 and added his own comfort features to it. Reportedly worth over $100 million, Trump Force One is laden with an array of luxuries. Since Trump is fascinated with gold, his plane has gold-plated seat belts.
Trump’s office in the plane also has gold-karat fixtures. The plane has two bedrooms boasting wood paneling and silk pillows. It also has a dining room.
About 155-foot long with a wingspan of 125 feet, Trump Force One has the range of 4,500 miles without refuelling. It can carry up to 43 people and fly at the speed of 614 miles per hour.
But once Trump takes oath on January 20, he will have the much bigger Air Force One as his official plane.
Compared to Trump Force One which is Boeing 757-200, Air Force One is Boeing 747-200B which much bigger, with a length of 232 feet and wingspan of 196 feet.
Customized for the most powerful man in the world, Air Force One has 4,000 square feet of space. It is laden with sophisticated equipment to turn it into a command centre in case of any crisis.
Air Force One has a conference room and a medical centre on board to give health care to the President. There is also a gym. It has a situation room from where the President can address the nation.
Furthermore, Air Force One has a much bigger range of 7,800 miles without refuelling. In fact, it can refuel midair and carry up to 102 people flying at the speed of 645 miles per hour.
The President’s plane can also wide off an array of attacks, including any attempt at electromagnetic interference with the plane’s systems.
But Air Force One costs over $200,000 per hour to operate Air Force One.
The US President or the White House does not own Air Force One. It belongs to the United States Air Force.
