NEW YORK: As Hillary Clinton begins his campaign for Democratic nomination to the presidential race, all sorts of alleged skeletons are tumbling out of her cupboard.
Though much is already been known about Hillary’s relationship with Bill Clinton, a New York Post report quotes many books on the couple and accounts by Secret Service agents to show that Hillary Clinton is not the “softer, warmer and funnier candidate’’ that she is trying to project to the American people.
On the contrary, the report says, Hillary is prone to violence to the extent that she has beaten up her husband Bill Clinton many times.
The report quotes political strategist Roger Stone, the author of the latest book “The Clintons’ War on Women’’ releasing on Oct 13, as saying, “Hillary Clinton has a long history of being domestically violent with Bill…Hillary has beaten Bill, hit him with hard objects, scratched and clawed him, and made him bleed.”
The report also details the stormy relationship between Bill and Hillary though the eyes of Bill Clinton’s former press officer Dee Dee Myers.
As per the report, Hillary flew from the White House to Little Rock, Ark., to by her father’s deathbed in March 1993. Bill Clinton used Hillary’s absence to invite singer Barbra Streisand to the White for entertainment and had her (Streisand) spend the night in the White House.
When Hillary came to know that Streisand had spent the night at the White House, she immediately flew back to the White House.
So what happened next? Bill Clinton had a big scratch on his neck.“It was a big scratch, clearly not a shaving cut. Barbra Streisand was clearly around at the time,’’ Bill’s former press secretary Dee Dee Myers told author Gail Sheehy in 1999.
The New York Post report also narrates accounts from Chris Andersen’s book “American Evita: Hillary Clinton’s Path to Power,” about Bill Clinton and Hillary when he was the governor of Arkansas.
One night, Hillary woke up in the middle of night and found Bill Clinton missing. She ordered the state troopers to find and bring him home immediately.
When Bill Clinton returned, Hillary was waiting in the kitchen. She got violent at him, “shattering glass and slamming doors.’’
Hillary would also assault Bill Clinton in their official limo and throw “yellow legal pads, files, briefing books, car keys . . . ‘They’d be screaming at each other, real blue-in-the-face stuff.’’
The report also narrates incidents about Hillary and Bill as given by former Bloomberg News reporter Kate Andersen Bower in her book, “The Residence: Inside the Private World of the White House.’’
One particular incident happened in 1999, at the height of the Lewinsky scandal when Hillary hit Bill across the face.
“In the past, Hillary had thrown books and an ashtray at the president – both hitting their mark . . . Hillary slapped him (Bill Clinton) across the face – hard enough to leave a red mark that would be clearly visible to Secret Service agents when he left the room. ‘You stupid, stupid, stupid bastard,’ Hillary shouted.”
The report says the relationship between Hillary and Billi Clinton is still violent.
Quoting editor and author R. Emmett Tyrell, the report says the verbal and physical abuse has not relented since the Clintons left the White House. “Sources close to the Secret Service . . . report that dreadful altercations have erupted several times,” and usually involve “yelling, screaming, throwing of soft and hard objects, breakage of vases and glasses and just plain nastiness.’’
