NEW YORK: Looks like New York bikers have imbibed India’s bhog-moksha philosophy very well.
So Biker Entourage, a group NYC-area bikers, says they will undertake what they call the Gods of India Ride on June 16.
The Gods of India Ride will include an intensive morning introduction to Zen meditation, and then a twisty run to Sri Ranganatha Hindu Temple upstate, says Biker Entourage founder Deme Spy.
The bikers will ride “like Lord Vishnu on his dragon-chariot back into the city, to a ridiculous, themed party by Carmel Productions” called Gods of India, he says.
The Gods of India Ride will be their second major after their first major event of the season called Erotic Ride, he says.
“We started the season with Erotic Ride, where we made stops at the Museum of Sex and then Shag, a female-owned sex shop in Williamsburg,” says Deme Spy.
“One of us did win a vibrator, but the highlight was definitely Chemistry, a celebrated erotic party. The theme was ‘Easy Rider,’ and BEnt bikers gave joyrides around Williamsburg, as well as offering their bikes as props for the party. So, after riding bacchanal urges, what does BEnt have in store for its next production?’’
So the Gods of India Ride, he says, is their journey through space and self, just “as a quest for spiritual meaning inevitably follows the growth-release of hedonism.’’
