MUMBAI: Bollywood aspirant Elli Avram of Swedish-Greek origin is shocked to be evicted from Bigg Boss.
Says Elli, “I didn’t expect this. It came a complete shock to me, so much so that my parents are not here in Mumbai. They didn’t expect me to be out. But I spoke to my Dad. I had a gut-feeling that I’d be out today. It’s okay. I am now looking forward to my life ahead.”
Elli’s shock at her eviction is shared by Bigg Boss watchers who saw her as host Salman Khan’s favourite.
Elli can’t hide her gratitude for the warmth that Salman extended to her. “I don’t know why he was so nice to me. He is a big superstar. And his kindness meant a lot to me. I think he sensed that I was all alone in there in Bigg Boss. The only foreigner. He helped me feel comfortable in Bigg Boss by just the way he spoke to me. Of course I soon became comfortable in there. I’ve learnt a lot of Hindi in there.”
And now Elli is looking forward to catching up with the team of Mickey Virus, her debut film that released while she was inside Bigg Boss. “I want to meet the entire Mickey Virus team, ask them about the release and the response to the film.I was so happy when my co-star Manish Paul came to visit me in Bigg Boss.”
Any regret that she missed all the excitement of her film’s release? “No, I was sure I wanted to go into Bigg Boss. So no regrets. I hope people liked me in the film.”
She comes away from Bigg Boss with a good feeling about most of the inmates. “My friends say I find everyone to be good and likeable. But I can’t help it. I don’t have unkind thoughts about anyone inside the Bigg Boss house. Yes, there were stressful moments and ugly scenes with some of them. But it was soon okay. If you ask me who my special friends are I’d say Hazel Keech. She was the first to leave Bigg Boss house. But during her last three days in the House we really bonded very very well. Hazel is someone I’d like to meet again now that I’m out of the House.”
Another close friend Elli has come away with is Rattan Rajput. “She sent me a saree for Diwali and I wore it for my farewell episode on Bigg Boss. I hope Rattan was watching.”
Elli says she’s also fond of Sangram Singh and Andy.
She feels she has gained tremendously through her stay in Bigg Boss. “When I was the Jahannum area I learnt to value the smallest of things. I didn’t have a towel. When I got one I felt I had achieved something major. This part of my stay helped me to appreciate what I have in life.”
Elli is at the moment unsure of her future plans. “I hope I get to do more movies after Vickey Virus. I hope it’s my first and not last film.”
