MUMBAI: Aamir Khan and Katrina starrer Dhoom 3 became the fastest Bollywood film to enter the Rs 100-crore club in just three days.
By Sunday, Dhoom 3 had collected Rs 107.6 crore since its release on Friday.
Shahrukh starrer Chennai Express and Hrithik Roshan starrer Krrish 3 entered the Rs 100-crore club in four days of their release.
Since its launch on December 20, Dhoom 3, which also features Abbhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra, has smashed multiple records.
The film earned Rs 56.80 crore worldwide on its opening – the highest ever by any Bollywood film.
In India, Dhoom 3 made the biggest opening day collection of Rs 36 crore, beating Chennai Express which had collected 33.10 crore on its first day.
The film also recorded the biggest single day collection in Bollywood history by raking in Rs 36 crore, beating the previous biggest one-day collection of Rs 35.91 crore by Krrish 3.
Dhoom 3 also made history by making a record non-holiday Friday collection, beating Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Debanng 2.
It also created the record of a single-day highest collection in the Gulf region by earning $1,279,000 on its opening day.
In Australia, the film collected $172,300 on its opening day – a record by a Bollywood film.
It collected $210,000 in Pakistan on its opening day – which is a record.
In North America, the film made the highest opening day collection of $1,100,000 – yet another record.
In Britain, Dhoom 3 collected $400,000 – which is the highest non-holiday opening day collection by a Bollywood in the UK.
