MUMBAI: It is official.
Shahrukh Khan starrer Chennai Express has crossed the Rs 200-mark in India, becoming the highest earning film of 2013.
Announcing this, trade analyst Taran Adarsh said in a tweet message, “#OUATIMD dull, #ChennaiExpress crosses 200 cr mark in India.”
Rohit Shetty directed Chennai Express, which was made on a budget of 75 crore, recovered its money in the first days itself.
The film created Bollywood history by becoming the highest earner on Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3 of its release.
Chennai Express also made Bollywood history by making Rs 100 crore in the shortest time of three days.
The film has already become the third highest grosser in Bollywood history.
