VANCOUVER: Ever heard of visual verse? Here it is. You can call it 2-1-2. Two artists, one theme and two works.
Put simply, it is a concept whereby an artist turns someone’s verse or poem into a painting, statute or any other medium. It can be a visual arrangement of text, images and symbols to convey the intended meaning of a poem or verse.
Ms. Monique Lum, a well known painting artist of the city of New Westminster, visualized into an oil painting Ashok Bhargava’s poem Whispers.
