MUMBAI: Actor Akshay Kumar, who studied martial arts in Bangkok before entering Bollywood, has stepped ahead for the betterment of women now. The superstar has joined hands with Yuva Sena chief Aaditya Thackeray and has undertaken a martial arts training institute for women in Mumbai.
The institute will be operational by the end of May at the Andheri Sports complex and will train women of all ages in self-defense training techniques, according to Koimoi.com.
As reported, the training will be free-of-cost for women who want to learn it and will be taught by professionals. Akshay, who holds a six-degree black belt in Taekwondo, will take special classes too.
Before this, Akshay had expresses his desire of training the Quick Response commando team in flexibility and endurance too.
