NEW YORK (NEWS): An Air India plane collided with a JetBlue commercial jet at Kennedy airport here on Saturday morning, damaging its rear rudder. The Air India plane also suffered damage to life wing tip.
About 150 passengers of JetBlue had to be disembarked after the incident that happened at about 6.15 am near Terminal 4. Nobody was hurt.
The JetBlue plane was about to take off for West Palm Beach, Fla, with about 150 passengers when it was hit the Air India flight 102 that had just landed. As the Air Indian plane was taxiing to a halt, its left wing tip hit the JetBlue flight 145.
JetBlue arranged another flight for the passengers who left Kennedy airport 3 ½ hours later. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the collision.
